Our Story: From Sensitivity to Sanctuary

My fascination with candles began in my teenage years, though my parents never quite understood it—and candles weren’t allowed in our home. When I arrived in England, I was enchanted by how candles seemed to be everywhere. But as someone with asthma, I quickly learned that many of them triggered my symptoms.

During the pandemic, I decided to create my own solution. I dove into learning—enrolling in courses, experimenting, and perfecting my craft. I began hand-pouring candles using only organic soy wax and pure essential oils, carefully chosen to be gentle and safe for sensitive individuals like myself. Sharing them with friends and neighbours brought overwhelming encouragement, and by the end of 2022, I knew this was more than a hobby—it was my calling.

After completing a dedicated candle business course, I officially launched Surrey Hills Haven. That same Christmas, I gifted over 350 candles to the community—each one a symbol of my commitment to quality, beauty, and heartfelt craftsmanship. Today, Surrey Hills Haven is a reflection of everything I hold dear. Each candle is handmade with care, designed to elevate your space and spirit—while remaining clean, natural, and safe. My journey is a reminder that challenges can spark transformation, and dreams are always within reach.
